What modules are available in CHAIOS Nexus?

Nexus has 12+ modules, including Events, Tasks, Projects, Budget, Travel, Household, Baby Tracker, Gifts & Occasions, Health, Habits, Goals, Notes and Pets — plus tools like the secure Vault and Business Directory. Each module is purpose-built and works on its own — but the real power comes when they work together across a shared calendar, budget, and notification centre. How do I add contacts to make collaboration easier?

Accepted Answer

Add people to the People module first before inviting them to collaborate. Once someone is saved as a contact, you can quickly assign tasks, invite them to events, and share modules without re-entering their details every time. It's also used to pre-fill guest lists, household members, and run sheet assignments.

What is the "Shared with me" section?

Accepted Answer

"Shared with me" keeps your personal content separate from things others have shared with you. Anything a collaborator invites you to — an event, a trip, a household — appears here rather than mixing into your own items. This keeps your dashboard clean and makes it easy to see what's yours versus what you're contributing to.

Should I create budget buckets before creating a trip or project?

Accepted Answer

Yes — set up your budget categories and buckets before linking them to a trip, event, or project. Once a bucket exists, you can assign it when creating or editing your trip and all spending for that trip will route back to it automatically. If you link after the fact, earlier expenses may not roll up correctly.

How does the shared calendar work?

There is one calendar across all of CHAIOS. Events, trip dates, task due dates, household chores, habit check-ins, and baby appointments all appear on the same week view. You can filter by module colour and share the calendar with household members.

Can I use CHAIOS offline?

Accepted Answer

Yes. CHAIOS is a Progressive Web App and caches key data for offline use. Your itinerary, packing list, and notes are available without a connection — useful when you are on a plane or in an area with poor signal. Changes sync automatically when you reconnect.

How do I install CHAIOS on my phone or computer?

Open nexus.chaios.au in your browser. On iPhone/iPad: tap the Share button then "Add to Home Screen". On Android: tap the three-dot menu then "Add to Home Screen" or "Install App". On desktop Chrome/Edge: look for the install icon in the address bar. No app store needed.

How does collaboration work?

You can invite contributors to any event, trip, or household. Contributors get full read and write access to that item. Vendors (in the Events module) get a limited view — they can see the run sheet and their own vendor card but nothing else. Invite people from the item's Team or Collaboration tab.

Is my data private and secure?

We take privacy seriously. Your data is stored securely and is never sold to third parties. Row-level security means each user can only access their own data or data they've been explicitly shared. Important: CHAIOS apps are planning and coordination tools — they are not designed to store highly sensitive information such as identity documents, legal contracts, tax records, or confidential compliance documents. Any guidance, checklists, reminders, or reference content provided within the apps is based on publicly available information and is intended as a convenience reference only. It does not constitute professional, legal, financial, or regulatory advice, and CHAIOS does not confirm, certify, or validate compliance with any legal or regulatory framework. You should always consult with the relevant authoritative bodies, qualified legal advisors, or licensed professionals to verify and confirm your compliance obligations. CHAIOS accepts no liability for any damages arising from reliance on in-app content as a substitute for professional or regulatory advice.

How do I link a budget to a trip or event?

First create a budget category and a budget item (bucket) for your trip or event. Then, when creating or editing your trip/event, select that budget bucket from the linked budget field. All receipts and expenses you log on the trip or event will automatically roll into that bucket and appear in your monthly budget view.

Can multiple people track baby feeds and naps together?

Yes. Both caregivers can log feeds, naps, and nappy changes in real time to a shared timeline. Add the other caregiver as a household member and they will see the same live log. No more "did you feed her at 4am?" texts.

What is CHAIOS Sentry?

Sentry is our governance, risk & compliance (GRC) app — a separate product from Nexus, with its own login at sentry.chaios.au. It helps teams manage risk registers, controls, audits, policies, incidents, suppliers and a Statement of Applicability across recognised frameworks. It's currently in Beta.

How is Sentry different from Nexus?

Nexus is for organising personal and household life — events, travel, budgets, baby tracking, habits and more. Sentry is for organisations that need to manage governance, risk and compliance. They are two distinct apps for two distinct jobs; pick the one that matches what you are trying to do (or use both).

Which compliance frameworks does Sentry support?

Frameworks currently include Right Fit For Risk (RFFR), ISO 27001, ISM, NIST CSF, PCI DSS and SOC 2, with custom and pre-defined cross-framework mappings. On Pro you can map controls across multiple frameworks at once; you can also build your own framework or control set using custom framework slots.

Yes — Sentry has a Free plan that includes all 22 GRC modules, with sensible limits (a single-tier risk register up to 25 risks, 25 issues, 25 treatments, one permanent active framework, a view-only Statement of Applicability, one project and one user). How do I get started with Sentry?

Head to sentry.chaios.au and sign up for the Free plan — no credit card needed. Since Sentry is in Beta, you may see new features and refinements arrive regularly. You can upgrade to Pro and manage seats from inside the app once you are signed in.

Does Sentry certify or guarantee my compliance?

No. Sentry is a tool to help you organise and evidence your governance, risk and compliance programme — it does not provide, confirm, certify, or validate compliance with any legal or regulatory framework. Always consult qualified compliance professionals and the relevant authoritative bodies to confirm your obligations.

What is the CHAIOS Business Directory?

The CHAIOS Directory is a pre-populated listing of local businesses that our users can browse when planning events, trips, and other occasions. Businesses are listed from publicly available information — you don't need to submit to appear. You do need to claim your listing to take control of it.

How do I create a business account?

Accepted Answer

Go to nexus.chaios.au and sign up. During or after sign-up, select "Business account" and follow the prompts. A business account gives you access to the Partner Portal where you can find, claim, and manage your directory listing.

How do I claim my business listing?

Accepted Answer

Log in to your CHAIOS business account, open the Directory module, and search for your business by name or category. On your listing page, tap "Claim this listing" and follow the verification steps. Verification typically takes up to 24 hours. Once approved, your listing is linked to your account.

Is there any cost to list my business?

Accepted Answer

No — CHAIOS Nexus is completely free, including the Business Directory. Claiming your listing and every management feature — editing your profile, responding to reviews and enquiries, analytics, and your Verified Business badge — are all free, with no subscription or card required.

Question 24

What does the Verified Business badge mean?

Accepted Answer

The Verified Business badge appears on your listing once you've claimed and verified ownership. It signals to CHAIOS planners that the listing is managed by the actual business owner, and that they can expect a timely response to any enquiry.

My business is not in the directory — how do I get it added?

Accepted Answer

Any CHAIOS user can suggest a business. Open the app, go to the Directory module, and use the "Suggest a business" option. Submit the business name, category, and any details you know. Our team reviews and adds it. Alternatively, contact us directly via the Contact page.

What is the Partner Portal?

The Partner Portal is the business management area inside the CHAIOS app. From here you can manage your listing details, view analytics, respond to enquiries, and moderate reviews — all in one place, and all free.

How do I receive and respond to enquiries from CHAIOS users?

Once you've claimed your listing, enquiries from users are sent directly to your Partner Portal inbox. You can reply within the app — no email ping-pong. Users receive your response inside their CHAIOS notification centre.

Can I respond to user reviews?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Once you've claimed your listing, you can post a public response to any user review on it. You can also flag reviews that breach our community guidelines for moderation. This feature is not available on unclaimed listings.

What analytics are available?

The Partner Portal shows you profile views, search impressions, click-through rates, and enquiry counts — updated daily. You can see how your listing is performing over time and which categories or searches are surfacing your profile.

Do I need to pay to keep my listing?

Accepted Answer

No. Your Business Directory listing is free to claim and keep — there is no subscription, billing, or ongoing cost. Nexus is kept free by donations and revenue from our CHAIOS Sentry product.

The information on my listing is incorrect — what do I do?

Accepted Answer

If you have claimed your listing, you can edit any details directly from the Partner Portal. If you haven't claimed it yet, claim it first (free) and then edit. If you're having trouble, contact us and we'll help correct it.
