Open the app

Install to your device (optional but recommended)
CHAIOS is a Progressive Web App — you can install it directly from your browser so it sits on your home screen and works offline, just like a native app.

Create an account
Tap Sign up, enter your name, email address, and choose a password. You'll receive a confirmation email — click the link to verify your account.
Once verified, you'll be taken straight to your dashboard and can start using any of the 12+ modules.

Create an account
Tap Sign up, enter your details, and verify your email. Your account works for both personal planning and your business listing.
Open the Partner Portal
Once logged in, open the side menu (or tap the menu icon on mobile). You'll find Partner Portal near the top of the navigation.
If this is your first time, you'll be prompted to set up your partner account.
Create your listing
Inside the Partner Portal, tap New Listing. Fill in your business name, service category, location, and contact details.
Once submitted, your listing will be reviewed by our team. You'll receive an email when it's approved and live in the directory.

Open Sentry in your browser
Go to sentry.chaios.au. Sentry is a browser-based app only— there's nothing to install and no home-screen step. It runs in any modern browser; a larger screen is best for working through registers, controls and audits.
Create your account
Tap Sign up, enter your details, and verify your email. Sentry uses a separate login from Nexus.
Set up the essentials first

Add risks to the register, map your controls, start your Statement of Applicability and log audits across frameworks like Right Fit For Risk (RFFR), ISO 27001, ISM, NIST CSF, PCI DSS and SOC 2.

Set up a passkey
Enable passkey / biometric login (Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello) so access to your risk and compliance data is secure from the first sign-in — no password to leak.
Turn on notifications
Allow notifications so you don't miss control reviews, audit tasks, policy renewals and due dates as they come up.
Configure local storage
Point Sentry at local storage for backup and artefact storage — so evidence, exports and supporting documents are retained and recoverable.

Do I need to download anything?
No. CHAIOS runs in your browser. You can optionally install CHAIOS Nexus to your home screen from Chrome (Android) or Safari (iOS) — it behaves like a native app but with no store download. (Note that PWA support is not 100% on iOS.)
Is CHAIOS Nexus really free for personal use?
Yes. CHAIOS Nexus is completely free — all 12+ modules, including Events, Tasks, Projects, Budget, Travel, Household, Baby Tracker, Habits, Goals, Health, Gifts & Occasions, Notes and Pets, plus business directory listings. Nexus is kept free by donations and revenue from our CHAIOS Sentry product.
What about CHAIOS Sentry — is that separate?
Yes. Sentry is a distinct app for governance, risk & compliance at sentry.chaios.au, with its own free plan and Pro tier. It uses a separate login from Nexus. If you need GRC tooling rather than life planning, start with Sentry.
Can I have both a personal account and a business listing?
Absolutely. One Nexus account covers everything. You can plan your own events and manage your business listing from the same login.
How long does listing approval take?
We aim to review new listings within 2 business days. You'll receive an email confirmation once your listing is approved and live.
